How to log spending by voice

Tap the mic, say what you spent the way you'd tell someone, and Monaza turns the sentence into an expense, with the amount, category, account and day. It saves itself; if something is off, tap it and fix it.
In three steps
- Tap the mic in the bar at the bottom of the home screen.
- Say what you spent, for example “grabbed a taxi home, it was twelve dollars, cash”.
- The expense shows up on a card and saves itself. To change anything, tap the card.
What you can say
- “Groceries at Trader Joe's, forty-eight fifty”
- “Paid the power bill yesterday, sixty-five dollars”
- “Gas, forty dollars, on my debit card”
- “Got paid two hundred dollars by a client”
What Monaza picks up
- The amount, in numbers or in words.
- The currency, if you say it: dollars, euros or kwanzas. If not, the currency of the account you named, or your main one.
- The category, from the place or the thing: a supermarket goes to Groceries, a taxi or a ride app to Taxis & Rides.
- The account, when you name it: “cash” or the bank's name.
- The day: “yesterday”, “the day before yesterday”, “three days ago”.
- Expense or income: “got paid”, “salary” and “received” count as income.
To get it right the first time
- One expense per sentence.
- Say where it was or what it was for: “lunch”, “pharmacy”, “Netflix”.
- If you'd rather type, the same sheet takes the amount and what it was for.
Questions
Which languages does it understand?
English and Portuguese as spoken in Angola, amounts said in words included, and place names like Kero, Candando or Unitel.
What if Monaza gets it wrong?
Tap the card before it saves and fix it. Once saved, you can still open the expense in your transactions and change it.
Can I log income by voice?
Yes. Sentences like “got paid two hundred dollars by a client” or “my salary came in” are logged as income.
Is voice logging in every version?
It's in Monaza 2.1, on iPhone and Android. If you don't see the mic, update the app on the App Store or Google Play.
